Grace H. Colgan, 70, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born on April 15, 1947 in Wolford, Virginia the daughter of William and Lena Hazel (Davis) Stacy.

Grace enjoyed baking and she always looked forward to her daily walk. She was a kind hearted person that never knew a stranger and could always find the best in everyone. Grace was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend that will be missed by so many.

She is survived by her husband Thomas A. Colgan whom she married on Dec. 28, 1985, her children; Thomas P. (Judy) Colgan, Mary (Randall) Davis, Margie Phelps, Colleen (Michael) Wintle; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Earl (Delores) Stacy and Fred (Ocie Mae) Stacy; four sisters, Sherry Myers, Carmie Cowell, Nell Davis and Betty (Michael) Wojtseck.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Dallas Stacy, Danny Stacy and James Stacy; three sisters, Alta Looney, Loraine Bart and Helen Hurley. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Scott Phelps.

Friends may call on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where a funeral service will begin at 6 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery in Bangor, Maine.
