Frances Myers

Born Oct. 20, 1935, Frances Myers lived life to the fullest and never knew a stranger. Some fun facts that folks might not know…in high school she was on the varsity girl’s basketball team and she was valedictorian of her high school class. She was a Major in the West Virginia Civil Air Patrol, and she was a pilot of small engine aircraft.

She went back to college at age 56 and graduated from Circleville Bible College at age sixty. Her senior year of college she was nominated to their homecoming court, and she was once again valedictorian of her graduating class! She went on to get her Master’s Degree from Ashland Seminary and became a Christian Counselor.

Retirement didn’t slow her down. She volunteered at Morrow County Hospital weekly and has been an active member of her Bible Study Fellowship and Dayspring Wesleyan Church.

But the most important thing that she would want everyone to know about her is that she loves Jesus! And if you’re reading this and don’t know who Jesus is, she would want you to get to know Him! We can only imagine the absolute joy that she is experiencing right now, and for that we celebrate! But for those of us who know her and love her that joy is combined with many tears!

She will forever be in the hearts of her family … her daughters, Christina Jarrett and Cindy Shoaf; her son-in-law, Mark Shoaf; her grandchildren, Ryan Jarrett and his wife Tina, Travis Shoaf, Diane Brockman and her husband Dustin; and her great grandchildren, Colin Jarrett, Benjamin, Brandon and Jeremy Brockman. She will be missed beyond words! But this is not goodbye….Mom, Granny, Aunt Fran, friend…we’ll see you later and we’ll love you forever!

Frances’ family will greet friends from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at the Dayspring Wesleyan Church, 2431 Marion-Mt Gilead Rd, Marion, Ohio 43302. Services to honor and celebrate her life will be held there at 1 p.m. with Pastor Steve Wilson officiating. A private family burial will take place at Rivercliff Cemetery in Mount Gilead.

Memorial contributions may be made to Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead to assist the family with funeral expenses.
