Charlotte S. “Char” Duffield, age 83, of Mount Vernon, passed away at her residence on Friday, March 24, 2023.
She was born on November 28, 1939, in Clarksville, Pennsylvania to the late Peter and Juanita (Statskus) Slovinsky.
Char was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Natalie (Gary) Welker of Mount Vernon; a son, Thomas A. Duffield of Mount Vernon; sister, Diana (Phillip) Slivinska of Pittsburg, PA; grandson, Zachary (Arilyn) Welker; and a great-grandson, Ethan Welker.
Char was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Duffield; son, Scott W. Duffield; grandson, Luke Sky Welker; sister, Juanita Carlton; and a brother, Thomas P. Slovinsky.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 30, 2023 – 10:00 AM - St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Father P.J. Brandimarti officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.
Inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
The Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel is handling the services for the Duffield family.
Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church or to St. Vincent Catholic School.
