MOUNT VERNON – By the end of her five-minute interview with WNZR’s Marcy Rinehart, Jacqueline Lester couldn’t help but tear up.
Lester, the food bank coordinator at Apostolic Christian Church in Mount Vernon, was describing why she does what she does. Her food bank serves 200-250 families per month; this year alone, it provided 40,000 meals to those in need. The food bank, located on Mount Vernon’s west end, sees clients from all walks of life.
