MOUNT VERNON -- Judge John Thatcher found 13 people guilty after hearings, arraignments and trials were held this week at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.

DEC. 23

Payne Francis, 21, of Buckeye Lake, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension and Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine for the DUS charge and a $150 fine for Speeding.

Director of Law Rob Broeren represented the State of Ohio in this case.

DEC. 22

Joshua Schorr, 34, of Bellville, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension and Possession of Marijuana. The Court sentenced him to pay a $300 fine for the DUS charge and a $50 fine for the Possession charge.

Robert Miller, 38, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $35 fine.

Dante Brown, 21, of Mansfield, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $75 fine.

Kirt Lacey, 35, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct and Use of Weapons While Intoxicated. The Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed him on two years of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment as soon as is practicable.

Montana Lucas, 19, of Moundville, West Virginia, was found guilty of Underage Consumption of Alcohol. The Court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine.

Grant Lewis, 21, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the followingcondition: attend and complete a 72-driver intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

Andrew Yarnell, 23, of Howard, was found guilty of Failing to Obey a Traffic Control Device. The Court sentenced him to pay a $25 fine.

Damian Johnson, 19, of Mansfield, was found guilty of Telecommunications Harassment. He will be sentenced on January 26, 2021 following a pre-sentence investigation.

Brett Skillman, 41, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed on two years of probation with the following conditions: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program and complete a drug and alcohol assessment as soon as is practicable, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

Kole Wallace, 26, of Mansfield, was found guilty of Failing to Use Reasonable Control. The Court sentenced him to pay a $150 fine.

Christopher Felumlee, 40, of Newark, was found guilty of Failing to Stop After an Accident and Failing to Keep an Assured Clear Distance Ahead. He will be sentenced on Jan. 25, 2021 following a pre-sentence investigation.

Andre Plickerd, 27, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. He will be sentenced on Jan. 25, 2021 following a pre-sentence investigation.
