MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Treasurer Shelly Coon announces the Knox County real estate tax bills have been mailed and are due on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021.

Payments can be made online at www.co.knox.oh.us (treasurer site) or by phone at 1-877-690-3729 using jurisdiction code 7811. Forte Payment Systems, the service provider, does charge a fee for this service.

You can also pay your taxes at any Park National Bank within Knox County as long as you have your tax statement.

Payments received by mail must be postmarked no later than Feb. 5 to avoid a late payment penalty. Taxpayers mailing payments are encouraged to mail as early as possible or make sure to have it postmarked at the post office.

You may also pay taxes at the treasurer's office at 117 E. High St., Suite 103, Mount Vernon. There is currently a two-person limit in the office at one time. You are asked to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Property owners are reminded they are responsible for paying their taxes even if a statement is not received. Anyone who does not receive their statement should the treasurer's office at 740-393-6735 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm.
