MOUNT VERNON -- Mount Vernon Muncipal Court Judge John Thatcher issued guilty verdicts in 24 cases this week in Mount Vernon Municipal Court.

March 18

Satarah E. Bowles, 20, of Howard, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension and Failing To Use Reasonable Control. The Court sentenced her to pay a $250 fine for the Driving Under Suspension charge and a $25 fine for Failing To Use Reasonable Control.

Francis V. Gourrier Jr., 34, of Westerville, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $75 fine.

Harold Landon, 61, of Boynton, was found guilty of Failing To Yield when Entering a Roadway. The Court sentenced him to pay a $15 fine.

Director of Law Rob Broeren represented the City of Mount Vernon in the Bowles and the Landon case.

Assistant Director of Law Brittany Whitney represented the State of Ohio in the Gourrier case.

March 17

Shelia R. Devore, 50, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possessing Drug Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced her to serve 30 days in jail.

Shane M. Simmons, 40 of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. The Court ordered a Pre-Sentencing Investigation and he will be sentenced on April 28,

Justin D. Scott, 21, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana. The Court sentenced him to pay a $50 fine.

Roger A. Legg Jr., 33, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Criminal Trespass. The Court sentenced him to serve 30 days in jail, concurrent with a 30-day sentence for violating the terms of his probation on a previous case.

Trisha D. Sexton, 40 of Johnstown, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct Persisting. The Court sentenced her to serve 1 day in jail.

Jordan Dohner, 26, of Lexington, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $25 fine.

Chelsea L. McGlothlin, 23, of Centerburg, was found guilty of Failing To Maintain an Assured Clear Distance Ahead and Driving a Motor Vehicle without a Seatbelt. The Court sentenced her to pay a $25 fine for the Assured Clear Distance charge and a $30 fine for Driving without a Seatbelt charge.

Eva M. Hamilton, 33, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension and Driving a Motor Vehicle without a Seatbelt. The Court sentenced her to pay a $250 fine for the Driving Under Suspension charge and a $30 fine for Not Wearing a Seatbelt.

Haylee M. Bright, 22, of Columbus, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced her to pay a $25 fine.

Rebecca L. Goeppinger, 24, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced her to pay a $35 fine.

Caleb M. Humphrey, 20, of La Porte, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $35 fine.

Justin D. Scott, 21, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension and Failure To Use a Turn Signal. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine for Driving Under an FRA Suspension charge and a $15 fine for Failing To Use a Turn Signal.

Adan L. French, 33, of Centerburg, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $75 fine.

Gary D. Hamilton, 60, of Johnstown, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $35 fine.

Crystal L. Loman, 37, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine.

Jeremiah T. Lively, 31, of Plymouth, was found guilty of Failing To Stop At A Stop Sign. The Court sentenced him to pay a $25 fine.

Brittany R. Harris, 34, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Failing To Stop At a Stop Sign. The Court sentenced her to pay a $25 fine.

Joel W. Campbell, 20, of Chandlersville, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $45 fine.

Director of Law Rob Broeren represented the City of Mount Vernon and the State of Ohio in the above cases.

March 16

Daniel Armstrong, 22, of Santo, Texas, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed him on one year of community control with the following conditions: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

Amanda Perkins, 34, of Columbus, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The Court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine.

Dylan Kessler, 21, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine.
