BERLIN -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Wooster Post is investigating a hit-skip crash that occurred on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 8:34 a.m.

The crash occurred on Somerset Drive near U.S. 62.

Subaru hit-skip

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is seeking the owner of this Subaru in connection with a hit-skip buggy crash from Feb. 6.

A horse and buggy was traveling on Somerset Drive (Township Road 359) and was struck from behind by a newer gray Subaru Impreza. The Subaru continued on TR 359 onto US 62 in Berlin.

The buggy driver was not injured but the horse had to be put down at the scene. The vehicle that left the scene should have moderate damage to the front bumper and right front panel.

There is video of the vehicle leaving the scene. There was also a silver sport utility vehicle directly behind the Subaru that continued to follow the Subaru.

The Patrol was forwarded a video of the at-fault vehicle (Subaru) and the silver vehicle that was following the at-fault vehicle involved in the crash. Included with this story are photos of the two vehicles.
