MOUNT VERNON -- Knox County Sheriff's deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.
MAY 14
-- On the above date, a deputy spoke to the complainant by telephone. The complainant wanted to report that he had a wooden carved mushroom taken from his yard in Howard.
-- Deputies responded to Martinsburg for a dog that was shot by a homeowner due to being aggressive. The dog was located and the dog warden was contacted. The dog warden arrived and took control of the scene. A report was completed for documentation.
-- A disturbance occurred at a N. Preston St. address in reference to an adult female having a mental health crisis. The individual was transported to the Knox Community hospital for an involuntary mental health evaluation.
MAY 15
-- A deputy was dispatched to a residence on Sharon Drive on a electrical fire. Complainant called in stating that a fire occurred in his downstairs bathroom and needed the Mount Vernon Fire Department to respond to the residence. Photographs and information was gathered on-scene and a report was written.
-- A deputy responded to Kenyon Campus Safety to collect marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia that was collected by Campus Safety. The deputy arrived on scene and collected the evidence. The evidence was placed into the evidence room at the Knox County Sheriff's Office for destruction. A report was generated for documentation.
-- A deputy spoke to the complainant by telephone. The complainant advised that someone in a white truck threw a baseball at her windshield on her vehicle causing damage. The incident happened on Newark Road near Esther Lane.
--Â A deputy was dispatched to the location of Hazel Dell Road on a well-being check. This was called in by the female's father, who lives in Maine.
