MOUNT VERNON -- Knox County Sheriff's deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.
MAY 12
-- A complainant called to report a suspicious person walking on the road that appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance. Deputies responded and located the individual. The individual was arrested for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.
-- Deputies were dispatched to the 17000 block of Allen Road in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted an investigation on the incident. A report was taken and being sent to the city law director for review of potential charges on the incident.
-- A complainant on Harcourt Road in Mount Vernon contacted the Knox County Sheriff's Office in reference to their outdoor smoker used for business being vandalized overnight. Photographs and a report was taken for documentation.
-- Deputies received a theft complaint on McLarnan Road. A report was filed for documentation.
MAY 13
-- A deputy was dispatched to Hall Rd. to investigate a vandalism. Complainant stated that there was a truck doing donuts in his field. Complainant stated that he had them stopped and wasn't going to let them leave. A deputy arrived on scene and spoke with the individuals involved. The land owner decided he did not want charges on the individuals. A report was taken to document the incident.
-- Deputies were dispatched to Kenyon College's Campus Security in reference to drug paraphernalia located. Deputies seized said paraphernalia and a report was taken for documentation purposes.
-- Deputies were dispatched to Old Delaware Rd. on a disturbance. Complainant stated that her boyfriend was angry and smashed her laptop. Deputies arrived on scene and collected statements from the complainant and her mother. A deputy spoke with the boyfriend and was able to collect a written statement from him as well. A report was taken and will be sent down for prosecution review. Nothing further at this time.
-- A complainant called and reported that some person(s) had used her personal information in attempt to file taxes and unemployment. A report was made on the complainants behalf.
