MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Sheriff’s deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.

FEB. 22

— Deputies observed a vehicle parked at Wolf Run Park after closing. As a result of the contact the vehicle was moved and the passenger’s license was seized per the BMV.

— A deputy responded to the complaint of an overdose attempt.

— A deputy was requested to meet Fredericktown Community Fire/EMS at the hospital in regards to a possible domestic disturbance.

— The Complainant advised a book of checks was stolen from his residence.

— The Complainant advised of a disturbance that occurred at the residence.

FEB. 23

— Deputies responded to the incident location on Gilmore Road in reference to a disturbance between the suspect and his grandparents. Statements were gathered and a report was made for documentation. The report will be forwarded to the city law director for review. The suspect was advised to leave for the evening.

— A deputy was traveling northbound on Newark Rd near Blackjack Rd. The deputy observed a vehicle traveling at what appeared to be higher speeds than the posted speed limit. The deputy was able to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver who was determined to be under the influence of an unknown substance. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for Operating a vehicle while impaired and cited for speed.

— A deputy was advised there was female in the Sheriff’s Office lobby needing to report a fraud. After speaking with the complainant and gathering information a report was taken. Nothing further at this time.
