MOUNT VERNON -- Knox County Sheriff's deputies filed these reports after their respective shifts.
APRIL 18
--Â Complainant advised that her neighbor whom she has a protection order against, was wearing only a T-shirt and underwear and mocking her. A report was taken and will be sent for review of charges.
-- The complainant reported that a client needed to talk to a mental health counselor. The client was connected with Behavioral Health Partners.
APRIL 20
-- A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for a moving violation in Clinton Township. A Mount Vernon Police Officer with his K-9 partner conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle with a positive alert to odor of narcotics. A passenger was in possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a concealed weapon.
APRIL 21
-- A complainant called to report that multiple subjects trespassed on the property of their business and stole a lawn mower from their dumpster. A deputy responded and made contact with the complainant. The complainant described the vehicle, the subjects on the premise and wrote a statement. The complainant sent photographs to the deputy's email to be attached to the report. The deputy wrote summons in lieu of arrest to be issued and a report was completed for court.
