Sept. 17

  • Deputies responded to Granville Rd. for found drug paraphernalia. Used needles were collected and placed into evidence for destruction.

Sept. 18

  • A deputy was dispatched to Davis St. on a report of found property.
  • The complainant contacted the KCSO regarding a pink and black Huffy bike pulled from the river.
  • A complainant advised their boat trailer license plate was stolen from the Apple Valley Marina. The plate was entered into the Law Enforcement Automated Data System (L.E.A.D.S.) as stolen.

Sept. 19

  • I was dispatched on a medical run to N. Preston St. in Centerburg for a juvenile who ingested drugs.
  • Scott Vance was located and arrested on an outstanding warrant from Mount Vernon Municipal Court.
  • The complainant advised there was an injured deer on Bloomfield Rd.. The deer was located and dispatched.
  • A deputy was dispatched to S. Adams St. on a report of a female trespassing on private property.

Sept. 20

  • A vehicle was reported to have struck a pole in the area of E. Gambier and S. Gay streets with unknown injuries to the occupant. A deputy close by responded to the scene and observed a male passed out in the driver's seat with the vehicle still running. Mount Vernon police officers also responded to the scene. Field sobriety tests were conducted and the driver, Cameron Haignere, was arrested for OVI after failing the tests. He was transported to Knox County Jail for further testing then released to his father.
  • Kenton College Security contacted the KCSO and advised they found a marijuana smoking devices. A deputy responded and collected the item and placed it into evidence for destruction at a later time.
