  • The complainant advised a 2016 Dodge Challenger Hell Cat was taken off the dealership lot. The dealership had acquired the vehicle by trade on March 25, 2020. The vehicle had been on the dealership lot since then as of May 16. Whoever = took the vehicle did so without keys. Mount Vernon GM has three sets of keys turned in with the vehicle. May 16. May 22

  • Deputies were dispatched to Harcourt Rd. on a report of a suspicious person looking into vehicles on the business lot. The suspect left the scene before deputies could arrive but they located the vehicle the suspect was driving and conducted a traffic stop. The owner of the vehicle the suspect, David L. Cross, II, was driving was contacted and said Cross did not have permission to be driving the vehicle. He vehicle was searched and multiple stolen items were found. Cross was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal trespass. Cross was transported to Knox County Jail and released to jail staff.
