- The complainant called the KCSO and reported she thought she heard a vehicle crash near her residence. She said she could see lights on the road. Deputies responded to the area and located a vehicle on its side in the middle of the roadway. Deputies made contact with the driver, Samuel J. Smith, and began their crash investigation. Smith was offered field sobriety tests and refused. He was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence and transported to Knox County Jail.
- A caller reported she started speaking to a man over the Internet approximately two and a half years ago. About a year ago she started getting scammed for money. The caller was advised to block all phone numbers and e-mails. A report is being done for documentation.
