Jan. 22

  • The complainant reported someone put sugar in her gas tank which caused damage to the engine of her car.
  • The complainant came to the KCSO to report vandalism to his truck. A report was taken.
  • A deputy was advised of a suspicious vehicle at the south end parking lot of Knox Lake. The vehicle was heavily damaged and was towed away.

Jan. 23

  • Deputies were dispatched to an area near the Bladensburg Marathon station to make contact with a male individual who had called in advising he had gotten his vehicle stuck somewhere on or near Jug Run Road. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle stuck in some ice on Fowls Road off of Jug Run Road. The deputy interviewing the individual observed indicators that the male was under the influence of possible drugs/narcotics and proceeded to have the individual. perform standard field sobriety tests. The individual, Ryan Lawrence Cooper, was put under arrest for OVI and transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.
