Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher 

MOUNT VERNON – Twelve people were found guilty this week after hearings and arraignments brought before Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher.

MARCH 17

Dusten Bell, 37, of Howard, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $300 fine.

Danielle Carr, 25, of Johnstown was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced her to pay a $40.00 fine.

Director of Law Rob Broeren represented the State of Ohio in this case.

MARCH 16

Raylynn Hawk, 19, of Mansfield, was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana. The Court sentenced her to pay a $50 fine.

David Rogers, 28, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle without a Valid Operator’s License. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine.

Richard Gates, 49, of Coshocton, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $35 fine.

Krystal Fisher, 27, of Centerburg, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The Court sentenced her to serve five days in jail.

Noah Skaggs, 23, of Westerville, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. The Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed him on two years of probation with the following conditions: complete a parenting class and complete the Court’s Hands Down program.

Courtney Perkins, 30, of Centerburg, was found guilty of Menacing. The Court sentenced her to serve 30 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed her on one year of probation.

Kevin Wies, 25, of Butler, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The

Court sentenced him to serve three days in jail.

Tracey Joseph, 65, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Theft. The Court sentenced him to pay a $150 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed him on one year of probation.

Jason Dakin, 43, of Danville, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. He will be sentenced on March 30, 2021 following a pre-sentence investigation.

Director of Law Rob Broeren represented the City of Mount Vernon and the State of Ohio in these cases.

MARCH 15

Dennis Saunders, 63 of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Illegally Harvesting Ginseng. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine and to return 52 ginseng roots.

Assistant Director of Law Brittany Whitney represented the State of Ohio in this case.
