Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher 

MOUNT VERNON -- Judge John Thatcher found 35 people guilty after arraignments and hearings at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court this week.

-- Cierra Steigerwald, 31 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments. The Court sentenced her to serve two days in jail.

-- Daniel Cockrell, 49 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Domestic Violence and Violating a Temporary Protection Order. The Court sentenced him to pay a $100 fine and serve 30 days in jail for the Domestic Violence charge. He was sentenced to pay a $100 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 120 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation with the following conditions: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days and complete the Court’s Hands Down Program.

-- James Wood, 29 of Granville, was found guilty of Theft. The Court sentenced him to serve 30 days in jail.

-- Michael Springston, 32 of Marengo, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed him on two years of probation with the following condition: complete the Court’s Hands Down Program.

-- Heather Auker, 36 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct. The Court sentenced her to pay a $150 fine.

-- Dana Menke, 19 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments and Criminal Trespassing. The Court sentenced him to serve three days in jail on both counts, concurrently.

-- Chad Behner, 34 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The Court sentenced him to serve three days in jail.

-- Alton Todd, 35 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Criminal Damaging. The Court sentenced him to pay a $100 fine.

-- Brandon May, 25 of Walhonding, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 174 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

-- Breana Wynkoop, 21 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana. The Court sentenced her to pay a $75 fine and suspended her operator’s license for 180 days.

-- Jeremy Stake, 46 of Danville, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $45 fine.

-- Todd Benner, 48 of Gambier, was found guilty of Failing to Obey a Traffic Control Device. The Court sentenced him to pay a $25 fine.

-- Trinity Blubaugh, 22 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Speeding in a School Zone. The Court sentenced her to pay a $50 fine.

-- Charles Edmister, 32 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Failing to Use his Turn Signal. The Court sentenced him to pay a $25 fine.

-- Jeremiah Shaum, 18 of Mansfield, was found guilty of Failing to Keep an Assured Clear Distance Ahead. The Court sentenced him to pay a $35 fine.

-- Danielle Martinez, 20 of East Brunswick, New Jersey, was found guilty of Failing to Use Reasonable Control. The Court sentenced her to pay a $25 fine.

-- Brian Baker, 35 of Howard, was found guilty of two counts of Violating a Temporary Protection Order. The Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with 152 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation for each count.

-- Shade Knox, 30 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced him to serve 16 days in jail.

-- Brittany Wheeler, 28 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments. The Court sentenced her to serve 90 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed her on two years of probation, with the following condition: enter into and complete the Court’s MERIT drug court.

-- Eyan Posey, 19 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Theft. The Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation with the following conditions: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days, complete the Social Responsibility Clinic, and pay $6.96 in Restitution to Town Center Market.

-- Nicole Lucas, 45 of Galion, was found guilty of Obstructing Official Business and Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced her to serve two days in jail for the Obstruction charge and to pay a $200 fine for the DUS charge.

-- Heather Trombley, 26 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments. The Court sentenced her to serve 90 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed her on two years of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days.

-- Brady Bemiller, 20 of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Operating an Unsafe Vehicle. The Court sentenced him to pay a $75 fine.

-- Daniel Avis, 37 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under a 12-Point Suspension. The Court sentenced him to serve three days in jail.

-- Jason McCoy, 41 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Violating a Temporary Protection Order. The Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed him on two years of probation.

-- Lisa Bebout, 46 of Coshocton, was found guilty of Menacing by Stalking. She will be sentenced on December 31, 2019 following a pre-sentence investigation.

-- Aaron Seavolt, 36 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Domestic Violence and Aggravated Menacing. He will be sentenced on December 10, 2019 following a pre- sentence investigation.

-- Jarred Baldwin, 26 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of Driving Under an FRA Suspension, Failing to Dim Headlights, Operating a Vehicle Without a Valid License and Expired Plates. The Court sentence him to pay a $300 fine for each DUS charge, and a $15 fine for Failing to Dim his Headlights. 

-- Lori Whitfield, 62 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Changing Lanes Without Safety. The Court sentenced her to pay a $35 fine. 

-- Jessica Maglott, 36 of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Making an Improper Turn. The Court sentenced her to pay a $15 fine. 

-- Naomi Stutzman, 34 of New Philadelphia, was found guilty of Speeding and Not Wearing a Seatbelt. The Court sentenced her to pay a $35 fine for Speeding and a $30 fine for Note Wearing a Seatbelt. 

-- Brianna Grubaugh, 27 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced her to pay Court costs only. 

-- Jacob May, 29 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $50 fine. 

-- Casey Arck, 38 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay Court costs only.
