MOUNT VERNON -- Judge John Thatcher found 23 defendants guilty after arraignments and hearings at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court this week.

Cases included:

-- Steven Ray, 51 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of two counts of Driving Under Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $100 fine for each count.

-- Zachary Emmert, 23 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Endangering Children. The Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation.

-- Jeremy Woolf, 43 of Columbus, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct/Persisting. The Court sentenced him to pay a $100 fine, serve 30 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed him on one year of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days.

-- Justine Bell, 31 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct. The Court sentenced her to pay a $150 fine.

-- Gavin Richert, 21 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Assault. The Court sentenced him to pay a $100 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation.

-- Candace Cherrington, 62 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Public Indecency. The Court sentenced her to pay a $150 fine, serve 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended, and placed her on two years of probation with the following condition: complete 15 hours of community service.

-- Jace Tidrick, 18 of Coshocton, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol- Per Se Violation. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

-- Christopher Worner, 28 of Perrysville, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced him to pay a $35 fine.

-- Nathaniel Elswick, 36 of Howard, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension and Failing to Use his Turn Signal. The Court sentenced him to pay a $10 fine.

-- Robert Matheny, 53 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension and Operating a Vehicle with Expired Plates. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine for the DUS charge and a $10 fine for the Expired Plates charge.

-- J. Scott Eshelman, 28 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine.

-- Tyler Yoder, 20 of Howard, was found guilty of Providing False Evidence when Harvesting Deer and Hunting without a Valid Permit. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine for Providing False Evidence and a $100 fine for Hunting without a Permit.

-- David Pauley, 67 of Columbus, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Refusing the Requested Chemical Tests. The Court sentenced him to pay a $1,000 fine, serve 365 days in jail, with 275 days suspended, and placed him on five years of community control. This is Mr. Pauley’s eighth lifetime OVI conviction.

-- Kurt Stump, 56 of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct with Persisting Behavior. The Court sentenced him to serve 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended, and placed him on one year of probation.

-- Stephen Randrup, 41 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Public Indecency. The Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with 135 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation.

-- Matt Reppart, 45 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Criminal Mischief. The Court sentenced him to serve 60 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed him on one year of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days.

-- William Austermiller, 54 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct with Persisting Behavior. The Court sentenced him to serve one day in jail.

-- Brittany Christine, 21 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced her to serve 30 days in jail, with 20 days suspended, and placed her on two years of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days.

-- Cynthia Ertel-Lind, 41 of Winchester, Indiana, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The Court sentenced her to pay a $250 fine.

-- Jeff Petrey, 46 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Criminal Trespassing. The Court sentenced him to serve 30 days in jail.

-- Robert Cantu, 27 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Theft and Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment within 60 days for the Theft charge and to pay a $50 fine for the Possession charge.

-- Brittany Bailey, 23 of Howard, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced her to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed her on two years of community control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and suspended her operator’s license for one year.

-- Karli Galbraith, 21 of Newark, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced her to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed her on two years of community control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and suspended her operator’s license for one year.
