DELAWARE – A Dublin man suffered minor injuries Friday afternoon after an airplane crash, according to the Delaware Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:50 p.m. at the Delaware Municipal Airport.
Wael Haidar, 42, was operating a Flight Design CTSW Light Sport aircraft westbound on the runway. While attempting to land the plane he traveled off the south side of the runway, striking an embankment, and overturned the plane on its top.
Haidar sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on the scene by Delaware City Police and Delaware City Fire Department.
