Knox County COVID-19 testing

MOUNT VERNON – Knox Public Health will conduct a drive-thru clinic in Danville to test for COVID-19 on Monday, June 29 from 1- 3 p.m.

The test site will be the Community Health Center, located at 16 E. Main St. (beside Conway’s Pharmacy).

All testing on Monday will be by appointment only. The drive-thru will take place in the parking lot behind the Health Center. When the testing participant arrives on-site, they will stay in their vehicle while a nurse will administers the test.

Paperwork for each drive-thru participant is done over the phone. To make an appointment for the Danville drive thru testing, call the COVID-19 Call Line at 740-399-8014.

The testing will be by nasal swab and will detect the presence COVID-19. It is not anti-body testing.

COVID-19 testing is available to anyone with or without symptoms, age 18 years and older and regardless of where they live or work. The testing is free whether or not a participant has medical insurance.

COVID-19 testing continues to be available by appointment-only through Knox Public Health and the Community Health Center at the Mount Vernon location, at 11660 Upper Gilchrist Rd.

The on-site appointments for testing have the same criteria as the drive-thru: available to anyone with or without symptoms, age 18 years and older, regardless of where they live or work and there is no out-of-pocket cost.
