LEWIS CENTER -- A Columbus woman was killed Saturday afternoon in a Delaware County crash, according to the Ohio Stte Highway Patrol.

Intesar A. Alzaiden, 55, of Columbus, died after the one-vehicle incident on Ohio 750 near East Powell Road in Orange Township, authorities stated.

The Patrol was called to the scene after the crash at approximately 3:44 p.m. They reported that Tamer J. Alrabadi, 20, of Columbus, was operating a silver 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer westbound on Ohio 750 when he failed to maintain reasonable control. Alrabadi traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert.

Alrabadi had one passenger in his vehicle, Alzaiden. Both occupants were transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital by Orange Township EMS. Alrabadi was treated and released for minor injuries but Alzaiden succumbed to her injuries sustained from the crash.

Alrabadi and Alzaiden were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

Alcohol/drug use is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the De laware County Sheriff’s Office, Delaware County EMS and Orange Township Fire & EMS.
