MOUNT VERNON -- The Colonial City Moose Lodge of Mount Vernon was recently presented with a plaque in recognition for the agency's continued support of Hospice of Knox County.
For a number of years, Colonial City Moose Lodge #2555 has provided annual support to Hospice of North Central Ohio/Hospice of Knox County for its community bereavement programs and Camp Hope, a bereavement camp for children who have experienced loss.
"Thank you to Colonial Moose Lodge for being so generous and for their support through the years," said Kathy Wantland, HNCO Bereavement Coordinator. "The funds provided by the Lodge are utilized for Camp Hope and our community bereavement services."
Becky Pfister, HNCO Support Services Manager, echoed that sentiment.
"It is because of the generosity of Colonial Moose Lodge and other supporters that we can provide a wide array of services to our community, free of charge," Pfister said.
Hospice of Knox County, a member of Hospice of North Central Ohio, has served thousands of families with compassionate, end-of-life and palliative care, bereavement programs and services since 1983.
Proud to be called "Your Hometown Hospice," HNCO is headquartered at 1021 Daugh Drive in Ashland.
HNCO serves more than 200 patients daily in Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Knox, Morrow and Richland Counties who are living with chronic and terminal illnesses.
Additionally, free continuous bereavement services are provided for hundreds of families of hospice patients and to anyone in the community experiencing grief. HNCO also operates the What Goes 'Round Thrift Shoppe located in downtown Mansfield.
