CHESTERVILLE -- A 30-year-old Cardington woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash Sunday morning, according to the Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Aleesha A. Hardy was northbound at 5:29 a.m. on Chester Township Road 190, near Morrow County Road 179, in a 2004 Buick Rendezvous. She failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the right side of the road and overturned into a tree, according to the patrol.

Hardy, who was not wearing a seat belt,  was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

The state patrol said it's not known if alcohol or drug usage were factors in the crash.

The OSHP was assisted by the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Morrow County EMS, Big Walnut Fire Department, and the Morrow County Coroner’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
