KNOX COUNTY – Search efforts continue Sunday for a 54-year-old Muskingum County man who is said to have gone missing Friday in Jackson Township, just east of Bladensburg.

According to a press release from the Knox County sheriff's office, deputies responded to the area of McCament Road and Totten Road on a report of a missing person at approximately 10 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses told officers that 54-year-old Ernest Baker, from Roseville, Ohio, became separated from his group while walking in a wooded area, and they were unable to locate him. Family members stated that Baker suffers from several health conditions.

A search of the area was conducted by deputies from Knox, and Coshocton counties, Bladensburg Fire District personnel, and Ohio State Highway Patrol Aviation. The search was suspended around 12:11 a.m., after the victim could not be located.

Search efforts resumed on Saturday morning with assistance from Bladensburg Fire District, Kokosing Valley Search and Rescue, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and Ohio State Highway Patrol Aviation. Baker is still reported missing and search efforts are scheduled to resume on Sunday.

Ernest Baker was last observed wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and glasses. He is 5’8” tall and has gray hair.
