MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found one guilty after arraignments and hearings were held at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on Dec. 28.

Kyle Fawcett, 25 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of domestic violence and two counts of assault. He will be sentenced on Feb. 23, 2021, following a pre-sentence investigation.

Assistant Director of Law Brittany Whitney represented the City of Mount Vernon in this case.

Dec. 29

Hayden Harmer, 18 of Howard, was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana. The court sentenced him to pay a $50 fine.

Michael Moore, 49 of Columbus, was found guilty of Failing to Use Reasonable Control. The court sentenced him to pay a $25 fine.

Erika Sargent, 39 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Failing to Reinstate her License and Failing to Yield. The court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine for Failing to Reinstate her License and a $25 fine for Failing to Yield.

 Bonna Behnke, 39 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Passing a Stopped School Bus. The court sentenced her to pay a $75 fine.

Timothy Kromoff, 47 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The court sentenced him to pay a $300 fine.

Darrell Coleman, 24 of Utica, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension. The court sentenced him to pay a $300 fine.

David Cross, 33 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Petty Theft. The court granted him credit for jail time served.

Robert Caldwell, 38 of Millersburg, was found guilty of two counts of Harvesting Ginseng Without Permission. The court sentenced him to pay a total of $150 in fines, serve 180 days in jail, with 175 days suspended, and placed him on two years of probation with the following conditions: complete a drug and alcohol assessment as soon as is practicable, prohibited him from digging or hunting for medicinal roots for two years, and ordered that the ginseng found on him be forfeited to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Scott Reynolds, 43 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Speeding. The court sentenced him to pay a $225 fine and serve three days in jail.

Dana Smith, 23 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. He will be sentenced on February 9, 2021 following a pre-sentence investigation.

James Fidler, 66 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Criminal Trespassing. He will be sentenced on January 12, 2021. Director of Law Rob Broeren represented the City of Mount Vernon in this case.

Dec. 30

Susan Denuit, 38 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving under an FRA Suspension. The court sentenced her to serve three days in jail.

Robert Pipes, 52 of Utica, was found guilty of Driving Under an OVI/ALS Suspension.

The court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine and serve three days in jail.

Elizabeth Miller, 46 of Mansfield, was found guilty of Traveling Left of Center. The court sentenced her to pay a $50 fine.

Jeffrey Razey, 41 of Delaware, was found guilty of Failing to Use Reasonable Control. The court sentenced him to pay court costs only.

Mykalah Owens, 20 of Thornville, was found guilty of Speeding. The court sentenced her to pay a $25 fine.
