Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher 

MOUNT VERNON -- Judge John Thatcher found 14 people guilty after trials, hearings and arraignments were conducted in Mount Vernon Municipal Court this week.

Cases were:

-- Madison Cochran, 23 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Speeding. The Court sentenced her to pay a $25 fine.

-- Amber Wright, 39 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Petty Theft. The Court sentenced her to serve 180 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed her on two years of probation with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment as soon as practicable.

-- Gabrielle Watson, 25 of Bellville, was found guilty of Possessing Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced him to pay a $100 fine.

-- Mason Lyon, 25 of Howard, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

-- Dalton Smith, 26 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under a 12-Point Suspension and Theft. The Court credited him for time already served in jail.

-- Steven Rainer, 33 of Brinkhaven, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. The Court sentenced him to serve 180 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed him on two years of probation.

-- Christopher Frye, 35 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced him to pay a $700 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 160 days suspended, placed him on two years community control with the following condition: complete a drug and alcohol assessment as soon as practicable, and suspended his operator’s license for two years.

-- Corey Anderson, 25 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under a 12-Point Suspension. The Court sentenced him to serve three days in jail.

-- Blake Kannady, 18 of Howard, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct. The Court sentenced him to serve 30 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed him on one year of probation.

-- Dylan Sines, 20 of Fredericktown, was found guilty of Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Marijuana. The Court sentenced him to pay a $150 fine for each charge and suspended his operator’s license for 180 days for the Reckless Operation charge.

-- Jamie Hager, 20 of Mount Vernon, found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with 174 days suspended, placed him on two years community control with the following conditions: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.

-- Meagan Gryglas, 19 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving without a Valid Operator’s License. The Court sentenced her to serve five days in jail.

-- Tyler Ferreira, 22 of Gambier, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension. The Court sentenced him to serve three days in jail.

-- Ronnie McCain, 42 of Warsaw, was found guilty of Domestic Violence. He will be sentenced on September 8, 2020 following a pre-sentence investigation.
