Knox County Grand Jury

MOUNT VERNON — A Knox County grand jury indicted 10 people on Sept. 21, 2020, on charges ranging from drug possession to identity fraud.

The nine counts against Dusten R. Bell, Mount Vernon, included aggravated possession of and trafficking in drugs, both fourth-degree felonies. A forfeiture specification is associated with the trafficking charge.

Bell also faces three counts of identity fraud, all fifth-degree felonies, and two counts of fifth-degree theft and one count of fourth-degree theft. He was arraigned today in Knox County Common Pleas Court with bond set at $5,000 and 10% provision.

Other indictments include:

--Brian E. Gardner, Mount Vernon: aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony, arraigned today with bond set at $2,500 and 10% provision

--Scott M. Owens, Fredericktown: failure to comply with the order or signal of a parole officer, third-degree felony

--John D. Ball, Danville: improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, fourth-degree felony, arraignment set for Sept. 30

--Joseph D. Ball, Centerburg: aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony, arraignment set for Sept. 30

--Teddy J. Jencson, Mount Vernon: aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony, arraignment set for Sept. 30

--Larry J. Butler Jr, Mount Vernon: aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony; tampering with evidence, third-degree felony. Arraignment today with bond set at $1,500 cash and 10% provision; bond posted.

--Karena E. Curtis, Marion: aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, second-degree felony. Arraignment set for Sept. 30.

--William T. Grennell, Centerburg: theft, fifth-degree felony

--Pablo J. Heredia, Portsmouth: possession of a fentanyl-related compound, fifth-degree felony, arraignment set for Sept. 30
