MOUNT VERNON -- The Salvation Army’s Red Kettles are underway with volunteers standing at area shopping centers. The project began Nov. 11 and runs through Dec. 24.
All donations from the Red Kettles are used in Knox County to provide Christmas assistance and essential services to those in need all year round. While the Food for the Hungry provides much needed assistance with much of our food services, we are also in need of dollars to support additional services such as utility assistance, rental assistance, after-school programming as well as youth and young adult activities.
Don't forget your neighbors in need this holiday season and throughout the coming year. Donate to The Salvation Army and ‘Fight for Good’.
