HOWARD -- In recognition of their 30 years of volunteer service to the Kokosing Gap Trail, a new picnic table in the Howard shelter along the trail was recently dedicated to founding board members Doug McLarnan, Randy Cronk, and Dick Frazee.

The Kokosing Gap Trail board, established in 1988, is an all-volunteer board dedicated to developing and maintaining the Kokosing Gap Trail, a 13.5-mile trail between Mount Vernon and Danville.

The trail was one of the first 500 rails-to-trails built in America and is a part of the 326-mile Ohio-to-Erie Trail.
