MOUNT VERNON -- A free screening of the original movie, The Wizard of Oz, will take place on Saturday, June 22 at 1:30 p.m. at the historic Woodward Opera House in downtown Mount Vernon.

Knox Partnership for Arts and Culture invites everyone to the event to help celebrate the 80th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz, which won two Academy Awards and was nominated for four more.

The Wizard of Oz has been delighting audiences, young and old, for eight decades. And, if you haven’t had a chance to see the beautifully renovated Woodward Opera House, America’s oldest authentically restored theater, this is a great opportunity.

The Knox Partnership for Arts and Culture (KPAC) is the managing tenant for The Woodward Opera House theater and conference space and is located at 107 South Main Street, Suite 200, Mount Vernon, Ohio. For more information, call 740-263-6737.
