COLUMBUS — A total of 565,700 new jobs have been added in Ohio since 2011. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics report, Ohio has added 103,600 jobs so far in 2018 and is on pace to end the year with the highest number of jobs added since 1994.

Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) released the following statement in response to the latest jobs report issued by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS):

“Today’s jobs report is evidence that our pro-growth policies, including tax cuts and regulatory reform, continue to fuel Ohio’s forward momentum,” Obhof said. “We will continue to encourage an environment that opens doors for Ohio’s job creators, from family entrepreneurs to global businesses.

“We remain committed to bold regulatory reforms that will reduce the government mandates, red tape and regulation that stand in the way of job creation.”
