HOWARD — East Knox FFA officers Dustin Springer, Blake Elliott, and Dylan Springer recently received gold ratings on their respective 2022-2023 chapter officer books that were evaluated at the District 7 evaluation for the State FFA evaluations on Jan. 30.
East Knox FFA Secretary Dustin Springer, Treasurer Blake Elliott, and Reporter Dylan Springer each had perfect scores of 105 out of 105 to go along with their gold ratings.
East Knox was one of only six FFAs in District 7 to have all three officers rate gold.
The chapter officer book competition is an activity on the state FFA level to encourage chapter officers to keep complete and accurate chapter records.
Each of these three members will receive a gold pin representing their office on stage at the 95th Ohio FFA Convention held in May at the Ohio Exposition Center and State Fairgrounds in Columbus.
The current system of FFA officer book evaluation started in 2001 and except for one silver rated book East Knox FFA has had all three officers rate gold in the state every year since then.
