MOUNT VERNON – Another successful year for the Knox County Art League Photography Group and Help-Portrait which was the group’s 3rd year of participation in this world-wide event. A break between winter storms enabled families to come out to have their portraits taken on December 7th at the First Congregational United Church of Christ which hosted this years event.

While the highlight may have been getting a free 8×10 framed portrait for the holidays, families were also able to enjoy refreshments while participating in making Christmas crafts plus, every child was able to take home a bag loaded with art supplies through the Art Leagues Art In Action program.

KCAL is thankful and privileged for the opportunity to be able to give back to the community through this well received Help-Portrait event. There is always a feeling of goodwill throughout the entire day and they appreciate the effort of all their volunteers.
