Judy Christine (Walpole) Llewellyn

Judy Christine (Walpole) Llewellyn, 81, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and formerly of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the home of her daughter/caregiver in Fort Mill, SC, under hospice care and following years of continued, complex health issues. She was born on July 2, 1941, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Ernest and Helen (Morrison) Walpole and was the last surviving Walpole sibling.

She is survived by her eight children, Dale Seavolt, Dorreana Goines, Darlene Cross, Denise Posey of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Sheila Silvis of Fort Mill, SC, Kathrine Silvis and Penny (Todd) Doyle of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Jason Llewellyn (Michelle Monty) of Somerset, Ohio, 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Donald, Ernest Jr., Larry and Kenneth Walpole, sisters Wanda Proper, Patricia Baker, Shirley Hoagland and Bonnie Dean, granddaughter Tamara Peck, son-in-law David Cross and Charles Posey and former husbands David Seavolt, Kenneth Silvis and Ed Llewellyn.

Judy attended Mount Vernon High School and spent several years as a homemaker raising her eight children, mostly as a single parent. For many years, she worked in the kitchen at Northside Manor and Country Court Nursing Homes. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler and enjoyed the bowling league playing alongside her sister Patty.  She enjoyed living life and having fun.  She liked to cook, crochet, and go to yard sales and flea markets.  Over the years, Judy had collections of unique beer cans, magnets, keychains, but most dear to her was her large collection of Coca Cola memorabilia. Judy liked to watch her favorite television shows and cheer for her Ohio and Carolina sport teams. She had a heart of gold when it came to her dog and cat companions. Her favorite family activity was playing LCR, giving all players a run for their money.  Most importantly, Judy enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and tried her best to support and follow all their busy activities.

Friends may call on Monday, March 6, 2023, from 12 – 2 pm at Snyder Funeral Home, Dowds Chapel, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio.  A service will follow, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.  Burial will immediately follow at Mound View Cemetery where Judy will be laid to rest beside the love of her life, Kenneth Silvis.
