Mount Vernon FFA learns how to score deer antlers

MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon FFA Chapter’s Ag II class and Natural Resources class have been learning how to score deer antlers.

Stephanie Plumly, chapter advisor, is teaching her students about wildlife management and, as part of a subtopic, they are learning how to score deer antlers. On Jan. 11 the students got their first opportunity to score antlers when Mrs. Plumly asked them each to bring in any antlers they had at home to practice scoring.
