MOUNT VERNON – Mike Kerr, a former Upper Arlington and Delaware Hayes defensive coordinator, has accepted the head football coaching position at Mount Vernon High School.

Superintendent William Seder Jr. said, “A selection committee was formed when Justin Todd announced his resignation this spring. After a thorough search, and several rounds of interviews with several very qualified andidates I am proud to announce Mike Kerr as the new head football coach at Mount Vernon High School.”

“Mike is a dedicated family man, accomplished teacher, and an outstanding football coach. Mike recognizes the excitement and positive transformation the program made last year and wishes to embrace those ideals while putting his mark on a program we can all be proud of. I am excited for Mike to begin his head coaching tenure as a Mount Vernon Yellow Jacket leading our football program.”
