MOUNT VERNON – Ian G. Pearce, 34, Mount Vernon, was convicted of possession of heroin and Judge Otho Eyster sentenced him to eleven months in prison.  Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher said on November 10, Pearce was found in possession of heroin during a traffic stop conducted by Patrolman Aaron Collins, Mount Vernon Police Department.

Duane A. Hess, Jr., 47, Mount Vernon, was convicted of deception to obtain dangerous drugs and aggravated possession of drugs.  Hess was sentenced to 45 days in jail, a three year term of community control supervision and a 17 month suspended prison sentence.  His driver’s license was also suspended for six months.  Thatcher said from August 1, 2012, through April 29, 2013, Hess used deception to fill several Adderall prescriptions for the purpose of abusing the drug.  Detective James DeChant, MVPD, investigated the case.

 

Angel M. Poff, 32, Mount Vernon, was convicted of corrupting another with drugs for giving marihuana to a juvenile last August.  Poff was sentenced to a three year term of community control supervision and a suspended 15 month prison sentence. Poff was also ordered to have no contact with the juvenile.  Detective Dan Bobo, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, investigated the case.
