Arrests and Charges – James Harrah, 48, of Albany was charged at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday (6/5) for a drug violation.  He was also cited for driving under a suspended license and for driving a vehicle with a fictitious registration.

William Dunagan, 39, of Glenmont was charged at 11:05 p.m. on Thursday for obstructing official business.

Kaylan Kincer, 19, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday for assault.

Cindy Christian, 44, of Centerburg was arrested at 7:10 a.m. on Saturday for domestic violence.

Nichole Vandyke, 28, of Centerburg was also arrested at 7:10 a.m. on Saturday for domestic violence.

Joshua Tomsik, 33, of New London was arrested at 1:50 a.m. on Sunday for disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

Jason McKee, 23, of Danville was charged just after 2:00 a.m. on Sunday with domestic violence.

Michael Clark, 25, of Mount Vernon was charged at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday with possession of drugs and drug abuse instruments.

Sadie Johnson, 19, of Martinsburg was arrested at around 3:45 a.m. on Sunday for domestic violence.

Justin Shue, 30, of Medina was arrested at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday for boating while under the influence.

Traffic Citations

Christopher Mullins, 39, of St. Louisville was cited at 11:00 p.m. on Thursday for operating a vehicle while under the influence and for failing to stop after a crash on the street.

Cierra Lance, 18, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 1:35 a.m. for operating a vehicle while under the influence. 

Shane Foster, 20, of Fredericksburg was cited at 6:50 a.m. on Friday for speeding.

Daniel Lively, 20, of Frazeysburg was cited at 4:15 p.m. on Friday for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.

Madison Armstrong, 17, of Centerburg was cited at 5:40 p.m. on Friday for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.

Sharon Vogelsang, 60, of Centerburg was cited at 7:35 p.m. on Friday for failing to control her vehicle.

Zachary King, 23, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 8:40 p.m. on Friday for running a red-light.

Rachel Proper, 29, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 8:40 p.m. on Friday for running a red-light and for failing to use required child restraints.

Alyssa Knox, 20, of Galena was cited at 10:35 a.m. on Saturday for speeding.

Lange Tucker, 37, of Centerburg was cited at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday for speeding.

Vincent Simon, 22, of Sunbury was cited at 6:50 p.m. on Saturday for speeding.

Clayton Smith, 61, of Canton was cited at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday for speeding (73 in a 55 mph zone).

Cathy Rimar, 34, of Mount Vernon was cited at 8:45 p.m. on Sunday for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.

Accidents – At 4:15 p.m. on Friday, Matthew A. Rogers, 16, of Centerburg was heading eastbound on Coshocton Avenue in his 2005 Chrysler Sebring.  Daniel R. Lively, 20, of Frazeysburg was behind him in his 1991 Nissan Sentra.  Rogers stopped for traffic near Greer Street and Lively rear-ended his vehicle.  Lively was cited for the incident.

At 4:15 p.m. on Friday, Erica D. Ferrell, 29, of Mount Vernon was stopped in traffic in her 2014 Kia Optima facing westbound on Coshocton Avenue near Vernonview Drive.  Dorinda M. Rhodes, 45, of Bellefontaine was stopped immediately behind her in her 2001 Ford Focus.  Ferrell moved forward with traffic and stopped again.  Rhodes followed but failed to stop in time to avoid rear-ending her vehicle.

At 8:40 p.m. on Friday, Zachary A. King, 22, of Mount Vernon was traveling northbound on S. Gay Street in his 2011 Ford Mustang.  Rachel N. Proper, 29, of Mount Vernon was traveling eastbound on W. Vine Street in her 2008 Pontiac G8.  At the intersection of those streets, King ran a red-light and struck Proper’s vehicle.  Proper then struck a utility pole on the northeast corner of the intersection.  Both drivers were cited for the incident.

At 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, William R. Ashcroft, 74, of Mount Vernon was parked in a parking space on the east side of the public square.  When he pulled his 1999 Buick Century out of that space, he struck a parked 2005 Toyota Highlander owned by Robin M. Graham, 34, of Mount Vernon.

At 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Brent B. Ogle, 43, of Gambier backed his 2011 GMC Yukon out of  parking space in the lot of Alison’s finer Diner on Upper Gilchrist Road.  As he did so, he struck a parked 1994 Honda Accord belonging to Audrey K. Posey. 

At 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Eric W. Beltz, 33, of Mount Vernon was stopped at a stop-sign at the east entrance/exit of the Kroger parking lot in her 2010 Chevy HHR.  Paige L. Whittington, 17, of Howard was immediately behind her in his 2002 Oldsmobile Alero.  Beltz began moving forward and then stopped.  Whittington followed, failed to stop in time, and rear-ended Beltz’s vehicle.

Incidents – At around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, a victim reported that he had been assaulted at the Wal-Mart.  A suspect was identified.

At 7:25 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a business alarm on the 1400-block of Coshocton Avenue.

At 10:45 p.m. on Friday, an officer responded to a report of vandalism at the Star-Brite Self-Serve Car Wash.  An overhead clearance pole had been damaged and a suspect was identified.

At 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, a victim reported an incident of disorderly conduct that had occurred on the previous day.  A suspect was identified.

At 11:50 a.m. on Saturday, a CES debit card and receipt was turned over to the MVPD as found property.

At 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, a victim reported a domestic violence incident that had occurred at her residence on the previous day.  A suspect was identified.

At 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, an officer responded to an activated residential alarm on the 200-block of Duke Street.  He found the residence secure and saw no sign of forced entry.  The homeowner could not be reached so the officer left a business card requesting that the owner call when they returned.

At 8:15 p.m. on Saturday, an officer responded to a reported dog-bite on the 000-block of Cottage Street.  A dog was running at large and a suspect was identified.

Just after 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, an officer cited a juvenile for a curfew violation and other charges.  A glass water bong and glass marijuana pipe were collected as evidence.

Just after 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, a suspect was cited on the 100-block of W. Vine Street for possession of marijuana and a marijuana pipe.

At 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, a disturbance was reported at a residence on the 800-block of W. High Street.  A suspect was identified.
