Betty Lou Yarger, age 83, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on October 20, 1942, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Blaine and Mildred (Derr) Robinson.
Betty graduated from Butler High School in the class of 1960. She worked at Kmart and retired as a personnel manager. Betty enjoyed gardening, her flowers, crafts, most of all she enjoyed being around her family. She was a member of the North Liberty Gardening Club. Betty was a member of the North Liberty Community Church.
Betty is survived by her children, Debbie (Kenny) Hillyard, Allen Yarger, David (Kris) Yarger, Rodney (Sherry) Yarger; grandchildren, Heather, Heidi, Ryan, Matt, Bob, and Chris; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph (Christine) Robinson; sisters, Sandy Gatton, Margaret (Fred) Lifer; a brother-in-law, Dale Pore.
Along with her parents, Betty is preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Pore.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 11:00 am until the time of funeral service starting at 1:00 pm at the Snyder Funeral Homes- Dowds Chapel, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
