Judith Alice Franks
Judy was called home to be with our Lord on September 29, 2026, following a brief illness. She was born on September 22, 1947, to Eugene and Alice (Evans) Ennis in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
Judy married Richard Franks on March 27, 1966. They made their home in Shreve, Ohio. In retirement she lived in Alabama, then returned to Ohio.
Judy loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed being with them. She also cherished the time she spent with her close friends and family.
Judy enjoyed singing, attending Methodist Churches, crocheting blankets, donated her time to make blankets for hospice, planting flowers, watching football, and spending time with her birds and dogs.
Judy is survived by her children: Robert Franks of Minnesota; Robbin (Eric) Maynard of Ohio; and Ralph (Paula) Franks of Alabama.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Danette (Tim) Ewing; Haliegh (Zach) Taylor; August (Adam) Polen; Allison Maynard (Rhiannon Whitman); Jeremy Kemmerer; Dominic Franks; Maverik Franks; and Cheyenne T. Franks.
Her great-grandchildren include Nolan, Abigail, Blair, and Grant Ewing, as well as Sarah and Naomi Taylor.
She is survived by her dog, Lilly.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Franks; her parents, Eugene and Alice Ennis; her sister, Nancy Carmony; and her brother, Eugene Jr. “Buddy” Ennis.
A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
