“Our Story, 200 Years”: A documentary of Mount Vernon’s rich legacy

MOUNT VERNON — More than 20 years ago, community members came together to commemorate Mount Vernon’s first 200 years by telling their stories and those
of their loved ones.  

Many of them are no longer with us, but their voices remain in a locally produced documentary film.  Come hear them as we screen and discuss “Our Story, 200 Years.”

The film screening and discussion begins at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Woodward Opera House, 107 S. Main St.

This free event is a collaboration between the mayor’s office, Woodward Opera
House, Knox County Historical Society and the Public Library of Mount Vernon and
Knox County.  Everyone is welcome.
