MOUNT VERNON — The Capt. Peter Chapman II Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol, has announced the following promotions for the month of September 2026.
Cadet Andrew Morton has been promoted to Cadet Airman upon completion of the Major General John F. Curry Achievement.
Cadet Airman Ian Huggins has been promoted to Cadet Airman 1st Class upon completion of the General Hap Arnold Achievement.
Cadet Airman 1st Class BayLee Mitchell has been promoted to Cadet Senior Airman upon completion of the Colonel Mary Feik Achievement.
Cadet Senior Airman Seth Yarman has been promoted to Cadet Staff Sergeant upon earning the Wright Brothers Award.
Cadet Technical Sergeants Trace Armstrong and Benjamin Steele have been promoted to Cadet Master Sergeant upon completion of Achievement 5 of the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program.
Cadet Master Sergeant Jenna Jurkowitz has been promoted to Cadet Senior Master Sergeant upon completion of the General Jimmy Doolittle Achievement.
Cadet Senior Master Sergeant Gabriel Hoskins has been promoted to Cadet Chief Master Sergeant upon completion of the Dr. Robert Goddard Achievement.

1st Lt. Kimberly Cox has been promoted to Captain upon completion of Level 3 of the Senior Member Professional Development Program.
Capt. Cox serves as the squadron Administrative Officer and Personnel Officer.
The Capt. Peter Chapman II Composite Squadron meets every Monday evening at 6 p.m. at the Knox County Airport terminal building.
The Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program is open to youth ages 12 to 18. The program focuses on Leadership, Aerospace Education, Physical Fitness and Character Development.
