Daniel J. Roberts, age 76, of Mount Vernon passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Avita Health System Ontario Hospital.
He was born on June 22, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Roger Reed Sr. and Evelyn (Whiteaker) Roberts. Daniel retired from AMG after numerous years of service. In his younger years, Dan enjoyed racing cars. In later years, he enjoyed watching racing. But most of all, he loved the time he spent with his family and close friends.
He is survived by his wife, of over 31 years, Brenda (Garven) Roberts; his sons Tony and David; his daughter Amy; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brothers Roger Reed, Steven Reed; and his sisters Kim Claugener, Peggy Madalinsky and Barbara Horack.
In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his brothers Mike Roberts and Mark Reed.
In keeping with Daniel’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private gathering at a later date.
