MOUNT VERNON- The annual Praisestock communitywide praise and worship event for Knox County returns on Sunday, Aug. 23, to showcase the talents of local worship teams and local bands.
This year’s event takes over Ariel-Foundation Park’s Schnormeier Event Center, 10 Pittsburgh Ave.
Praisestock 2026 marks the 21st anniversary of Praisestock. It started initially as a community event at Owl Creek Baptist Church with local musicians and bands performing on a stage set up on the church lawn.
With the vision of “What would it look like if all God’s people came together to worship Him?”, the community support grew, and the praise and worship celebration eventually moved to the larger venue of the Schnormeier Event Center.
Following is this year’s schedule:
10 am: Welcome and community worship service (message by Gregory Helinski, music with Ekklesia) and communion. A love offering taken during the service will be donated to Food for the Hungry for its 2026 food drive.
Noon: Set Free Worship Team (Contemporary Christian Music)
12:45: Chestnut Ridge (Bluegrass/Christian Music)
1:45 pm: Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene (Contemporary Christian Music)
2:30 pm: Footprints of Jesus (Contemporary Christian Music)
3:30 pm: Faith Outpost Worship Team (Contemporary Christian Music)
4:15 pm: Covenant Christian Church Worship Team (Contemporary Christian Music)
5:15 pm: Trinity Worship Center Worship Team (Contemporary Christian Music)
6 pm: Closing Comments and Unity Song (Benediction and Gospel music)
Praisestock features information from local ministries
Between performances, Christian-based organizations in the community will be featured in an interview-style format to relay information and inspiration. These ministries and organizations will have tents and tables with information about their ministries, who they help and how the community can help.
This provides community members with a one-stop opportunity to see how needs are being met in the community through the work of these organizations.
Some of the exhibitors include Afterglow Life Recovery, Aglow International, Fostering Family Ministries, Gideons, Hospice of North Central Ohio and Camp Hope, Kingdom Well Living Ministry, Knox Network of Christian Ministries, MMS Aviation, Pray Vote Stand, Revive Ohio, The Salvation Army, School Ministries Ohio, Starting Point, TouchPointe, Trail to Life and American Heritage Girls, and WNZR Radio & TV.
The Praisestock collaboration is directed by a volunteer board of directors representing six sponsoring churches: Covenant Christian Church, Trinity Worship Center, Set Free, Owl Creek Baptist Church, Faith Lutheran Church and The Salvation Army of Mount Vernon.
Others work together to offer the Greater Knox County community a day of worship, service and gratitude. This cooperation helps the community by demonstrating a common bond in Jesus Christ, supporting Food for the Hungry, and giving a place and time to interact with Christian service ministries.
