MOUNT VERNON — St. Vincent de Paul School is beginning to take names of all interested preschoolers for the 2014-2015 school year. If anyone knows a family that is interested in sending their children to St. Vincent’s next school year, please have them contact the school office soon. Spaces are limited.
An Early Childhood round-up meeting will be held on Thursday, February 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria for interested Preschool and Kindergarten parents. This meeting is to help families learn more about our early childhood programs, answer your questions, explain the expectations of each, and the age requirements. This presentation is meant to help each family with the decision of what is the best placement for their child. The Preschool through 1st grade faculty will be available to answer your questions.
Kindergarten screenings for 2014-15 students are scheduled for Thursday, March 13th from 8:30 until 2:00 and Friday, March 14th from 8:00 until 2:00. Children must be 5 years old by September 1st to be eligible for Kindergarten. Please call the school office to schedule a screening. There are income based Scholarships available for Kindergarten students through the Ohio Department of Education. To apply and even be considered a child must be accepted into the program. All Kindergarten students must be screened before they can register.
