Carroll Eugene Rinehart, age 75, of Mount Vernon passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, with his loving family at his side.

He was born on April 3, 1951, in Mount Vernon to the late Carroll and Betty Jo (Clipse) Rinehart.

Carroll was a 1969 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. He was a veteran serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1969-1971. He owned and operated Carroll’s Well and Pump for many years from which he retired. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the casino and traveling to visit family and former military friends. But most of all, Carroll loved the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his daughters, Brandi (Tim) McDonough, Leslie (Coty) Grizzle; his son Bryan (Kyla) Rinehart; seven grandchildren, Devon (Sierra) McDonough, Abby Rinehart, Rhiley Grizzle, Brendon McDonough, Emma Rinehart, James Rinehart, Kenna Grizzle; his great grandson Ryker McDonough; his brother Michael (Laura) Rinehart; his nephew Sean (Darcie) Rinehart; and his canine companion Smore.

Friends may call on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the Snyder Funeral Home – Dowds Chapel from 11am-1pm. A graveside service will follow, beginning at 1:30pm in Pleasant Valley Cemetery with military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veteran’s Council.
