Oma Wilma Mullins, age 91, of Saint Louisville, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Knox Community Hospital.

She was born on November 17, 1934, in Virgie, Kentucky to the late Thomas and Bertha (Osborne) Newsom.

Arnold and Oma were married 55 years until his death in 2006. Oma was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved spending time on the farm with the grandchildren and other family members. Arnold spent many years driving her from one destination to another. Often taking the grandchildren with them, she loved to travel and seldom passed a Cracker Barrel. She loved to cook for the family. Many holiday meals were spent around her table. The last 18 years she spent living with Jacob at the family farm. She was a school bus driver for 25 years in the East Knox school district. She was greatly loved and will be missed by many.

Oma is survived by her three children, Keith Mullins, Kathy (John) Shoemaker, and Sherry (Bob) Duvall; sister, Neva Gay (James) Morgan; five grandchildren, Joe (Kasey) Mullins, Jeff (Denae Dobbins) Mullins, Jodi Mullins, Joshua (Bryn) Shoemaker, Jacob Duvall; eight great-grandchildren, Charlie Cook, Alyssa (Kaiden Colopy) Cook, Jeffrey Cook, Michael (Zoey) Hubbard, Megan Shoemaker, Dylan Shoemaker, Lane Mullins, Lucy Mullins; a great great-grandson, Cooper Hubbard; daughter-in-law, Rita Mullins; brother-in-law, Gary (Sherry) Mullins; sister-in-law, Mary Thornsberry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold E. Mullins; son, Dan Mullins; grandsons, Chris and Cameron Mullins; daughter-in-law, Candance Mullins; sister, Maxie Flanary; and brothers, Darvin, Hassell, Hurshal, Clyde, and Clarence Newsom.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday starting at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery – Bladensburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Louisville Free Will Baptist Church in Oma’s memory.
