Timothy J. Kupiec, 40, of Mount Vernon was charged just before 3:00 a.m. on Friday with possessing drug abuse instruments.
Pamela K. Shannon, 52, of Mount Vernon was charged at 9:30 a.m. on Friday with theft. She is alleged to have stolen 20 cans of pop at Hiawatha Golf Course.
Taylor Jason Stevens, 20, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 11:45 p.m. on Friday for running a red-light. He was then charged with possession of marijuana.
Jay D. Beaver, 18, of Mount Vernon was charged on Sunday with underage consumption.
Jacob McQueen, 28, of Mount Vernon was charged just before 3:00 a.m. on Sunday with possession of drug parapheranalia.
Michael A. May, 29, of Mount Vernon was charged at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday with assault.
Paul Scott, Jr., of Mount Vernon was charged at 7:40 p.m. on Saturday with criminal damaging property.
Traffic Violations:
Todd D. Clinton, 55, of Mount Vernon was cited just before 3:00 p.m. on Saturday for failing to control his vehicle and for failure to pay full attention to his driving.
Brian L. Bolinger, 48, of Mount Gilead was cited just before 4:30 p.m. on Friday for running a red-light.
Ryan Stevens, 20, of Syracuse, NY was cited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday for failing to control his vehicle.
Taylor Jason Stevens, 20, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 11:45 p.m. on Friday for running a red-light. He was then charged with possession of marijuana.
Jason D. Bostick, 38, of Howard was cited at 12:45 p.m. on Sunday for driving left of the center line.
Kelsey V. Pike, 22, of Gambier was cited at around 2:40 on Sunday for driving a vehicle with expired plates.
Charles D. Watson, 21, of Fredericktown was cited just after 6:30 p.m. on Sunday for driving under a suspended license. He was then taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.
Franklin F. Flood, 38, of Frazeysburg was cited at around 7:40 a.m. on Sunday for driving under a forfeited license.
Accidents:
Just before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Roberta J. Bennett, 41, of Howard was traveling eastbound on W. Burgess Street in her 2009 Toyota Sienna. Brian L. Bolinger, 48, of Mount Gilead was traveling southbound on N. Sandusky Street in his 1998 Saturn, following behind a tractor-trailer. Bennett had stopped at the intersection and, as she had the right of way on a green-light, began moving forward. Bolinger, who admitted that he was following the tractor-trailer too closely, ran the red-light and was struck by Benett. Both vehicles had been moved prior to the officer’s arrival and Bolinger was cited for the incident.
At 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Ryan Patrick Stevens, 20, of Syracuse, NY was traveling northbound on Cougar Drive on the MVNU campus in his 1995 Mercury Cougar. He lost control of his vehicle, left the right-side of the roadway, and struck a chain-link fence. Stevens left the scene but reported the incident to the Campus Safety office and returned to the scene later. He was cited for the incident.
At around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville belonging to Robert K. Wheatcraft III, 37, of Galion, OH was parked on N. Main Street. Todd D. Clinton, 55, of Mount Vernon struck it while attempting to pull his 1998 Toyota Camry into a parking spot immediately in front of Wheatcraft’s vehicle. Clinton was cited for the incident.
Incidents:
At around 9:00 a.m. on Friday, William Seder, the Superintendent of Mount Vernon City Schools, reported a harassment incident near East Elementary School. A black Jeep Compass was involved in the incident.
At 11:00 a.m. on Friday, a resident turned over to a police officer at the impound lot a Visa debit card that he had found while shoveling snow at the Colonial Estates apartment complex.
At around 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, officers were dispatched in response to a residential alarm on the 000-block of Belmont Avenue.
Just after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, a resident of the 100-block of Mulberry Street reported that her driver’s license had been stolen from her residence.
Just before 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, an individual reported a theft by deception. At least three bad checks were involved and a suspect was identified.
At 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, a resident of the 1300-block of Gambier Road reported the theft of a lawn statue valued at $175.00. A suspect was identified.
At 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a disturbance on the 100-block of Ringold Street. A suspect was identified.
At 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, a victim reported that her rear window had been vandalized while parked on the 300-block of Calhoun Street. A suspect was identified.
At 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, a resident of the 300-block of N. Norton Street reported that her son’s bicycle was stolen. She described it as a red Mongoose Model 90 with trick-pegs on the front and the back.
