Mark W. Phillips, 74, of Mount Vernon passed away on June 1, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 7, 1952 to George William and Katherine (Bell) Phillips III in Mount Vernon, OH.

Mark was a member of the Moose and the Elks in Mount Vernon. He enjoyed Hot Rod cars, especially his 1932 Coup. Mark loved spending time with his friends at the Moose and the Elks. He cherished the time with his grandchildren and family.

Mark is survived by his children Shawn (Nicole Grubaugh) Phillips of Mount Vernon, OH, Michael (Corbin Christensen) Phillips of Atlanta, GA, Stephen (Brande) Phillips of Carroll, OH; grandchildren Ariel (Michael) Godley, Treveon Phillips, McKenna Phillips, Ava Phillips; great-grandchildren Rone Godley, Wrenn Godley, Rumor Godley; siblings Linda Jonsson of Piqua, OH, Matt (Kim) Phillips of Lady Lake, FL, Stacy (Jack) Coons of Mount Vernon, OH; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Mark was preceded in death by his wife Marsha Phillips and his parents.

Memorial Contributions can be made in Mark’s memory to Luminary Hospice.

Calling hours will be Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Flowers ~ Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High Street, Mount Vernon, OH 43050 from 11:00am – 12:00pm with a Memorial Service at 12:00pm. Mr Roger Marra will be officiating.
